That's that for C Central. We've got this cliffhanger for the next segment to tease you. It should start sometime next week.
I'll be honest, I both really enjoyed and really hated writing this segment. Chef Freeze was as fun to use as I expected him to be, and Aika was surprisingly entertaining for me as well. But, while I enjoyed certain jokes with them, the other members of Division C were just not that fun to work with.
Out of Wake, Neona, and Nameless, the only one I feel has a full fledged personality is Neona, and I felt like I couldn't even show it that well here. She works better with Ryka and Gigi than she does Wake and Nameless, and speaking of them, I just feel as though I can't really write them well when they're the focus. I suppose that's why they're only background characters, but it kinda annoys me just how similar all three of these guys ended up being in this segment. I really feel as though they could've all swapped lines of dialogue and nothing would have changed. There's a very fragile differentiation between the three, especially Neona and Wake, that I personally feel only comes to light when they're separate.
I still enjoyed the segment, and I think it came out well, but that subgoal of expanding upon these side characters did not come to fruition. Ah well. I can at least say I gave it a shot, though.
As far as planning out this segment goes, though, I had this general concept created since the very beginning of the comic. Ever since I created the second Division and implied the existence of others, I knew that I'd eventually want to focus a segment on these guys. Division Addition was like a precursor to that idea, but rather than focusing on a specific Division's antics, it just worked with the three main characters I threw together.
Speaking of Division Addition, the climactic joke that C Central had been building up to was planned from its very conception in this segment. When I was writing out those silly stories for Neona to tell Nameless, I didn't initially think they were true, but the moment I came up with the term "dandelion ninja", I felt that was too brilliant of an idea to just go to waste like that. Thus, the plan was set in motion to have all of Division C's insane-sounding antics wind up actually being true after all. Admittedly, though, in the realm of Kirby, things like lava cats and magazine-obsessed penguins aren't too outlandish after all.
I'd probably drop a hint or two about the next segment like I normally do at the end of a Behind-The-Segment, but I think these last two C Central comics did a good enough job at teasing what's to come.

Careful, Gigi. Folks are known to just randomly pop in that green room any time they're being talked about.BattleStarX,

Been a while since we've had a big-baddie attack over here. Reason why I used so many jokes about it. :PLuigi_96,

...So wait... You were lying to me for ALL THIS TIME?

@Jarkes: Yep. Hope you're not too upset. Honestly, I'm just not fond of revealing the concepts of certain segments just out in the open like that, so whenever you asked me about it, I kept quiet about my plans.
Hmm... something looks different, doesn't it?

@Ultimate Yoshi: I'm not really upset. I've actually dealt with that kind of thing before. In fact, one time, I was reading this fanfic, and I correctly predicted a big plot twist A YEAR before it was revealed, and was specifically told by the author to not share it with anyone. And the funny thing is, the way it happened still totally surprised me.
Also, WHOA, what happened to the site?
